After a while

After a while,
The calling bell at your door would stop working
The doors would have no walls around them
The walls would have no secret to enclose

The road that took me to you like a lazy river
through the countryside would be erased

Tired of being the trustworthy, unfailing partner
My car would stop midway and
vanish into a field of flowers

On the gigantic rocks near
Soochippara waterfalls,
No one would remember the
the squirrel who watched the lovers
lean against each other and think about the sky

No one would remember the
guy who came along the narrow alley humming a song
with the luring soul of the birds

After a while,
Someone sitting alone in a rickshaw
might remember words all of a sudden,
and find a new meaning between us
