Really happy to see Reshmi K.M.
again in Moonnamidam pages.Hers is becoming a prominent & sought
after name in the literary circles for all the good reasons. Her
poem 'Paranju kettittillathava' deserves a very special mension.A
ray of hope in the world of hypes & fakes.

Dear Editor,
The poem 'Chumarchithram' by Jacob Thomas
is a powerful one against fundamentalism and terrorism. The fate of
the family of the vegetable vendor looms large on the whole of
humanity. The painting, unlike that of Jackson Pollock, is so
dreadful, vile and inhuman. The poet deserves a comment for
portraying terrorism in stark reality. The color is so dismal and
dark!

Dear Edior,
I would like to congratulate the writer
of the story 'bhoomi itaykkite natakkunna nagaram'. Even though
there is not any human protagonist he succeeded to take the reader
until end without boring.
Thanks to moonnamidam for this story

Your editorial (July 15-22) and the article
by Rafi M are disappointing. You seem to be scared of the beast. In
the words of the good old English you are beating around the bush. May
be you have geographical limitations and restrictions.
The mag is readable. Sarjoo's article
Kathayile Janthujalam is interesting (27th issue).
An encouraging pat on your shoulders - I
don't quite know whether you need it.

A Well written story by Nirmala. Really

Moonnamidam is clean,
fresh and well made.
I feel very happy to see the pages of web mags because of the presence
of light in the pages which is not there in printed paper.

incorporated some suitable photos also to make the story more
illustrated.
Congrats to Nirmala and Moonnamidam

I happened
to read one of your articles
recently, the one by Sarju on Non-alignment (issue 7 Feb 17-23). In
'Non-Alignment', the 'Non' had been referring to 'Soviet'; not any
simpleton vacuity of a meaningless 'Non'. Well, if the term could have
defended with its literal intention, then the word 'apolitical' could be
as well be argued out as 'political' -right? The coinage of the term
(Non-Alignment) was a historically inevitable tactic-game on survival
(with honour), at least on the Indian position. India chose
democracy, despite its overwhelming politicizations of its great northern
neighbours -China and the USSR. The Nehruvian-Fabian Socialism was a
make-belief
political pretension under which the ultimate programme for a civilized
capitalistic creed was to be nurtured with great care. Won't you sense
these, provided that the stark realities of our current political
economy?
Also, what makes you so hard to disbelieve that, age old democracies
have a common ground in joining a 'walkathon' together, and which would
be fully justified? Genetically, India cannot have such a walk-together
with totalitarian regimes. Why, genetically?. The form of India is not
that of a nation-state; but that of s federal-nation-state -hence the
multiple statehoods by linguistics and by constitution? Here, an
impositon of 'Non-Alignment' would be to get along with the 'doomed'
--well, you wouldn't agree!

It is shameful
that the number of women represntatives in our assembly is so meager.
All, just boasting only or rather a hype that Kerala has better racial
and sex equity.
Another thing among the 31 women MLAs (1957- 2006) many of them are
under ‘widow reservation’ , this make the issue shocking!

Sarju's comment about a view: he state there is a social vision that
Cast will be annihilated up on social revolution! Can you mention any
name or section who preach such vision?

It is really nice to see shihabuddeens novelette published in

take printout and read.

Dear friend,
thank you very much for moonnamidam. i had read earlier issues also.
ananthalakshmi-sherrif interview -- what is unsaid is more depressing
than what they said. enjoyed karunakaran's take on mangal pandey. also
ramohan's passionate poetry.
but, there are problems regarding kuttaksharams like nta (as in venta,
untu) and nDa (as in panDithan). i suppose they can be fixed easily.

it looks clean -- except
for the banner.

Dear
Editor,
Moonamidam looks and reads nice. The interview with
the poet couple, Khalid and Nujoom, is highly useful
for it throws light on the latest development in Arab
poetry about which little is known in Malayalam
despite our long relation with the Peninsula.

Dear
editor,
Your new web weekly is definitely going to the relief of readers
for whom
reading is not just a hobby. It reminds about the capability of
letters to
transcend through the enigmatic space between dead and alive, as
every positive attempt does.
Congratulations.

women issue of moonnamidam. with many colors of life.
